We have teamed up with Max Whitlock OBE and Tom Dean MBE to encourage more people to invest time in their health and fitness.
We have partnered with two of Britain’s Olympic sporting icons as part of our Aspiring Champions initiative, which aims to inspire communities to exercise and encourage aspiration among members.
Triple Olympic champion and six-time Olympic medallist Max Whitlock and double Olympic champion and six-time European medallist Tom Dean have joined team 1Life as brand ambassadors in a bid to get more people focusing on their physical and mental health.
As Olympic champions Max and Tom appreciate the importance of physical and mental health and trust 1Life with their own, and their families, health and wellbeing.
Max Whitlock said of this partnership: “I am really excited to be working with 1Life. I am a huge supporter of what the team is looking to achieve in terms of grassroot sport and physical activity. The team is redefining public access leisure provision in the UK and are working with some of the world’s leading health & wellness businesses to help support users on their health and fitness journey. I am excited to see this partnership evolve and develop over what will be an exciting year ahead.
With more than 20 venues across the UK offering a range of facilities, including gyms, sports halls, golf courses, swimming pools and group exercise classes, there is something for everyone at 1Life.
Tom Dean said of this partnership: “I started my swimming journey at Willesden 1Life centre so I fully appreciate the impact local leisure can have on people. I am really excited to be working with the team to help encourage people to take the plunge and invest in their health and wellbeing. 1Life centres are for everybody regardless of where they are in their fitness journey and it’s great to see how they’ve inspired more people than ever into fitness, especially swimming; with the award-winning Swim School welcoming record numbers of learners.”
Steve Bambury, Operations Director for 1Life says: “We appreciate everyone’s health and fitness journey is unique and so is each of our centres.
“We are thrilled to be working with Max and Tom and hope their stories as Olympic medallists can inspire people of all ages to get active and encourage 1Life members to think bigger when it comes to their goals.
“With Max and Tom as our Aspiring Champions we’re sure we will make a genuine impact on the health and wellbeing in the communities we work with.”
