Your free one day pass entitles you to experience all we have to offer here at 1Life including our amazing group fitness classes. If you’re looking for a high energy, high octane experience then you can’t go too wrong with any of the Les Mills classes, which are found on all our group exercise timetables. Les Mills is a global powerhouse when it comes to creating group exercise classes that not only deliver results you can see and feel but leave you wanting more and coming back week after week. Les Mills has more than 20 different classes to choose from including the original barbell workout BodyPump, BodyCombat and BodyBalance.

If two wheels and a saddle is more your thing then 1Life has a range of fantastic indoor cycling and spin classes on its group exercise programme. These classes include a good mix of hill climbing and speed work and ensure you leave feeling satisfied you’ve had a great workout.

Some 1Life centres now offer the new Les Mills SPRINT programme, which is a new HIIT workout based on the sport of cycle sprinting and high performance, giving participants a short, sharp work out. The 30 minute exercise class incorporates high intensity interval training techniques (HIIT) and is a fast and high energy workout. For all the free spirits and disco divas out there, you might like the range of dance classes 1Life offers. Dancing is a great way to keep fit and active and a great calorie burner too!

If you’re a lover of the water, then we have that covered too! 1Life centres with swimming pools have a range of water-based classes, which are suitable for everyone from expectant mums to older people. Exercising during pregnancy can benefit mums and their babies. Aqua Natal classes are purposely designed to give expectant mums a gentle workout without putting strain on the baby. Water-based classes are also perfect for older people as they are low impact and kind to your joints.

For those of you who like to use exercise and physical activity as a way to unwind and de-stress then we have a range of great classes.

Yoga often features on the timetable and combines spiritual, mental, and physical activity in a range of stretches and different positions. Yoga classes enhance your physical and mental state bringing your body and mind together. Yoga is a safe holistic experience that increases physical activity, especially strength, flexibility and balance. Programmes are designed to improve posture and enhance your breathing technique. Regular yoga can be beneficial for people with high blood pressure, heart disease, aches and pains, depression and stress.

If you’re looking to take it up a notch, then why not call in on one of our Pilates classes. It uses a series of low repetition, low impact stretching and conditioning exercises, Pilates will improve your posture and build your core strength (back, abdominal and pelvic muscles). Pilates is great for anybody who is looking to sleep better, relax and beat stress. Pilates is also great if you’re looking to improve balance, coordination and build your strength (without adding bulk!). Starting with a gentle stretching warm up, you will move on to mat exercises. These may look difficult, but each move is precision based, concentrating on controlled breathing and movement flow.

Outside of the group exercise studios you’ll always find a fantastic, fully equipped gym with all the latest equipment you need to work out. From cardio machines, rowers and static bikes to functional fitness zones, free weights and other strength and resistance machines. Our team of fitness instructors and personal trainers are on hand to give you help and advice if you need it and we pride ourselves on promoting an encouraging and supportive environment in which to train, have fun and achieve your health and fitness goals.
